Clinic News:

Our RMT rates are increasing as of September 1, 2025. New rates: 60 mins - $140. Thank you for your continued support!

Taylor Smith, RMT is joining us as a locum for 2 weeks in July. Welcome, Taylor!

Please note, we are no longer accepting new clients for direct billing through Veterans’ Affairs Canada. If you are a new client claiming through Veterans’ Affairs, you will be asked to pay upfront and submit your own receipts for reimbursement.

A friendly reminder to please try to arrive only at the time of your appointment. Our space is small and gets crowded easily. Arriving at the start of your appointment time gives us adequate time to tidy up between clients and avoids crowding in our waiting area. Thank you!

Parking is available in the Urban Corner townhouse complex behind the clinic; entrance on McDonald St. Visitor spots are in the centre of the complex. Use the pathways or the corner plaza gate to access the clinic entrance on Guthrie Road.

I’m excited to now be offering Brainspotting!

Hello, and welcome.

My name is Bethany. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science from Thompson Rivers University and a Master of Counselling from City University in Vancouver. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association.

What I can help with:

  • Trauma therapy for single incidents (car accidents, natural disasters, workplace incidents, single incident assaults, etc.)
  • Relational trauma or developmental trauma from childhood experiences, abuse/neglect, nonrecognition, loss, or separation
  • PTSD and complex PTSD counselling
  • Feelings of anxiety, depression, and low self-worth
  • Support with substance use
  • Support with challenges related to adoption
  • Coping with borderline personality disorder (BPD) or ADHD

No matter your struggle, I offer a safe, caring, and nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and fears. You can expect sessions with me to be warm, attuned, and validating.

My approach is somatic, embodied, and relational. I attempt to balance constructively in the dialectical space between worlds. Between acceptance and change. Structure and free-flowing inquiry. Left brain and right brain. Concrete and intuitive. I do my best to meet you where you are and gently guide you on your journey.

I draw primarily from somatic attachment psychotherapy, internal family systems (IFS), and Brainspotting. Our work together will be trauma-informed, inclusive, queer-affirming, anti-oppressive, and collaborative.
